Fibers for Hygiene Applications

The hygiene fiber family consists of a range of products, which covers all demands for fabrics for hygienic disposable products such as diapers, sanitary napkins, and incontinence products.

The fiber types are developed with a specific view to the demand for different performance characteristics in the numerous product applications. Accordingly, FiberVisions is able to supply material for almost every component of a hygiene product.

  1. Fibers for topsheet:
The fibers provide a topsheet with a very good softness. The uniformity of the web and the fiber’s spin finish ensure an efficient and fast transportation of the liquids to the absorbent core.

  2. Fibers for leg cuffs:
The hydrophobicity is obtained by applying a fiber spin finish. The uniform carded, thermal bonded web gives a water resistent barrier which prevents leakage and minimizes skin rash.

  3. Fibers for acquisition layers:
The fibers are permanently hydrophilic which guarantees prompt passage of the liquids into the absorbent core. The open structure of the nonwoven web ensures a fast liquid distribution and absorption and the utilization of a wide area of the core.

Disposable hygiene products keep the user dry and comfortable.

  1. Fibers for fastening systems:
Coarse fibers transformed into nonwovens are excellent adhesive materials for velcro tape. The material offers an easy, affordable, and comfortable fastening solution.

  2. Fibers for textile backsheet:
Fine fibers with a high softness level and tailored hydrophilic/ phobic properties cover the outer layer of the diaper, and ensure a comfortable surface and textile feeling.
