FiberVisions & ES FIBERVISIONS Address Nonwoven Trends at IDEA 2010
Booth #1902
IDEA 2010
27 - 29 April, Miami Beach Convention Center
Miami Beach, Florida
(Atlanta, March 18, 2010)
World-leading polyolefin and bicomponent fiber producers FiberVisions and ES FIBERVISIONS will outline their solutions to the challenges and trends facing the nonwoven industry at the forthcoming IDEA2010 show, April 27-29, 2010 in Miami Beach.
Visitors to Booth #1902 can experience the capabilities of their unique fiber technologies to provide cost-effective solutions that meet specific performance requirements, and respond to current trends towards lightweight fabrics, more environmentally-friendly processing and materials with added functionalities.
FiberVisions will exhibit staple polypropylene fibers to help nonwoven producers reduce system costs and improve nonwoven performance. FiberVisions has developed cost effective polypropylene fine fibers in response to the continuing need to make carded thermal bond and carded spunlace nonwoven fabrics more cost effective while offering desired performance attributes. For the first time fine titer shaped polyolefin fibers are made available to the nonwovens industry. The key nonwoven benefits are better fabric uniformity, coverage and fabric opacity, in addition to loft and greater softness. FiberVisions will also be exhibiting Wettable PP fibers and fibers with botanical finishes. Also ask FiberVisions about increasing the extensibility of nonwovens. In addition to Hygienic markets, FiberVisions sells products into the filtration, automotive, geotextile and concrete reinforcement, and binder fibers applications.
ES FIBERVISIONS bicomponent fibers add performance tailoring and cost-saving advantages to nonwoven applications in a wide range of markets, including hygiene, cosmetics, filters, medical, industrial textiles, and agricultural supplies. Our bicomponent fibers are suitable for a variety of processes, including carded thermal bond, carded through air, air laid, wet laid, carded needle punch, and carded spunlace. ES FIBERVISIONS is expanding the range of bicomponent fibers it offers with two new key platforms – biodegradable and PP sheath/PET core bicomponent fibers, both types focused on carded as well as short cut air laid fiber applications. ES FIBERVISIONS, the only global bicomponent fiber supplier with a range including PE and PP sheath in combination with PP or PET core, also has developed bicomponent fibers based on specialized polymers. The materials choices are augmented by selection of concentric, eccentric and hollow splittable configurations. Mr. Tom Zaiser, president and General Manager of ES FIBERVISIONS, stated that “ES FIBERVISIONS is highlighting growth of its bicomponent fibers business at the IDEA show – growth in its geographical coverage, its capacity, its differentiated product range, the breadth of the applications for its fibers, and its customer base. We are very excited to spread this message and partner with our customers.”

About FiberVisions
FiberVisions develops, manufactures and markets polyolefin staple fibers for nonwoven applications. The Company’s products add performance and processing benefits to a variety of markets, including the hygiene, textile, automotive, and construction industries. We are the leader in our field:
- World’s leading supplier of polyolefin staple fiber.
- Global leader in bicomponent fibers with our partner, Chisso Corporation, through the joint venture ES FIBERVISIONS.
- Manufacturing facilities in North America, South America, Europe and China serve the needs of customers throughout the world.
- Marketing and sales support to all of the world’s regions: Asia, Europe, Middle East/Africa, North America and South America.
FiberVisions is known for innovation, high-quality products and superior customer service. The Company began as a joint venture of the fibers division of Hercules Incorporated and the Danaklon group of Jacob Holm & Sons A/S of Denmark in 1997 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hercules in 1998 when Jacob Holm & Sons sold its interest.
FiberVisions strengthened its involvement in the bicomponent fibers business in 2000 with the formation of ES FIBERVISIONS, a joint venture with Chisso Corporation of Japan.
In 2006, Hercules sold 51% of the Company to SPG, a private equity firm based in New York City. This transaction has provided FiberVisions with the financial backing to fund additional growth. In 2008 SPG bought the remainder of the Company to make FiberVisions wholly owned by SPG. In 2009, FiberVisions entered into a joint venture with Tel Rad Cuyo of Argentina to form FiberVisions South America.
